Did you see the picture of Queen Elizabeth at the funeral of Prince Phillip? Covid social distancing forced the Queen to sit by herself at her husbands funeral and it was sad. Don’t you think?

Tears fell out of my eyes watching a woman who had been married for 70 plus years put her husband to rest. During COVID? How many of you have been in a similar situation? Studies have shown loneliness and grief affects your overall health and is bad for the soul.

Do you think that she should just go about her life for the rest of Covid without her family members nearby? Her support system is on a thing we call “zoom” for God’s sake. I just wonder how many other people are out there in a similar circumstance. Perhaps you’re not in your 90’s. Maybe, you’re in your 50’s and in the same situation.

Please… don’t let life gobble you up into anything land. If you didn’t have a job, you’d still look for one. There’s no giving up on being alone. We all deserve to have someone in our lives that cares about us. No one is perfect, we’re all flawed human beings. Isn’t it time to understand you probably won’t meet the exact person of your dreams but a person who brings something to your table and most of all, companionship.

The Queen will be alone for the rest of her life now. I cringe as I think of her aging alone but it is real life and that’s how it goes down. Do you want to be like the Queen right now? I don’t and I don’t believe you do either.

Take a deep breath, take the next step and however you choose to do it, please just try to find someone to share your life with so that you aren’t the next person sitting in a pew alone.
